Civil Protection establishes the “bridge” with the victims through the toll-free number 170 !

While many Lomé residents have their feet in water, following the heavy rain from Friday night to Saturday morning, the authorities in charge of civil protection deemed it useful to activate a toll-free number. This is the toll-free number, 170.
This number is launched by the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection and is made available to populations affected by flooding.
“The call, free regardless of the operator, aims to alert and direct emergency services to areas still affected,” we could read on the official website of the Togolese government. Also, we are informed that “the minister in charge of civil protection, Calixte Madjoulba, went to the field to observe the situation, assess the extent of the damage, and coordinate the necessary emergency measures”.
