Probable presence of the "Delta" variant in Grand Lomé, according to Col Djibril Mohaman

It is a probability that the first person in charge of the CNGR (National Coordination of the Management of the Response), the Doctor Colonel Djibril Mohaman, issued Wednesday during the weekly meeting with the press to take stock of the evolution of disease.
" We must be careful. We are able to confirm today, even if we do not have all the evidence, that the Delta variant probably must be there and especially in Grand Lomé ”, declared Colonel Djibril, inviting the populations to pay more attention and to redouble their efforts in observing the barrier measures.
For information, Togo has known an upward trend in cases of Covid-19 contamination for a few weeks. As proof, between July 23 and August 3, 2021, 761 positive cases were recorded. Also, deaths are numbered between 6 and 8 per week. There are currently 163 deaths linked to Covid-19.
